Roganie is a consultant clinical-academic SLT and Associate Professor at the head and neck academic centre, University College London/Hospital. She works predominantly in the field of ENT and head and neck cancer focusing on dysphagia. Roganie’s primary research interest is to understand more about how clinicians can improve cancer pre/rehabilitation of swallowing and communication through health behaviour change and by improving patient activation. Having been the recipient of multiple doctoral and post-doctoral awards, Roganie is an active advocate for the clinical-academic pathway, supporting many clinicians through mentorship and supervision. She has published in her field, presented her work nationally and internationally and is actively involved in postgraduate teaching and research supervision alongside several professional committee roles and guideline working groups. Roganie was awarded an MBE in the Queens New Years Honours list in 2021 and a Fellowship of the RCSLT in 2022.
