Meriem is a Speech and Language Therapist and Specialist Dyslexia Practitioner, specialising in primary school children. Her areas of interest include child speech sound disorders and the links between Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN) and literacy, with a focus on supporting children’s development of both oral and written communication skills.
In addition to her clinical work, Meriem is a lecturer at St George’s University, London. She is committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion, with a particular focus on anti-racism within the SLT profession and improving practices in this area.
Meriem has been involved in several projects aimed at promoting inclusivity and equity in speech and language therapy.
