The RCSLT Board met on 6 July 2022.
The July board meeting was a hybrid event for the first time in two years and it was lovely for some board members to be able to meet face to face. You can find out more about what was discussed and read the full minutes of the meeting below:
Key discussions
- We opened the meeting with a member story from Kristina Sullivan who shared her journey to becoming a speech and language therapist.
- Chief Executive Kamini Gadhok MBE, gave an update on the work we are doing to support Newly Qualified Practitioners (NQPs) and also the issues in children’s services.
- We had updates on our digital strategy and a workshop to look at how we can increase member engagement and ensure members really feel the value of their membership
- The board reflected on the huge amount of work that has taken place to revolutionise how we recruit board and committee members to make sure we truly represent our membership and the communities we serve.
