Get involved – Diversity, inclusion and anti-racism work
Want to be part of the RCSLT’s ongoing diversity, inclusion and/or anti-racism work? There are several ways members can get involved, from writing an article for Bulletin and sharing your stories on social media to joining one of our working groups.
Bulletin
- Focus on diversity column
Bulletin’s focus on diversity column is dedicated to raising the voices of Black, Asian, and minority ethnic and minority SLTs. If you have a topic or lived experience that you would like to share, please email bulletin@rcslt.org.
- Feature, Perspectives and My working life articles
Bulletin is actively looking to promote the work of Black, Asian and minority ethnic SLTs within Bulletin. Please see our writing guidelines or email bulletin@rcslt.org.
Social media
- Instagram
We have partnered with @SLTsofColour on Instagram to help us in featuring a wider and more inclusive range of profiles in our ongoing ‘Faces of SLTs’ series. To get involved, message @SLTsofColour or @RCSLT on Instagram.
Anti-racism forum
- The RCSLT’s anti-racism online forum for all members is now live. Please email amina.malik@rcslt.org if you would like to join a discussion about this, and potentially volunteer to be a forum moderator and/or help to plan forum content.
EDI working groups
- If you would like to join one of our EDI working groups for members please get in touch with info@rcslt.org. Our current working groups are on Disability, Neurodiversity, Men in SLT and LGBTQIA+. We also have an anti-racism reference group.
